‘New Campaign Encourages Masks Be Worn in Cherokee County’
I want to thank the Cherokee County Commissioners for their new campaign that encourages the citizens of Cherokee County to Mask UP. Along with social distancing and washing our hands, wearing a mask is one of the three most important things we can do to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
I know that people who live in Cherokee County will do everything they can to protect their family, friends and neighbors from contracting this very deadly virus.
Wearing a mask is also a way to thank our doctors, nurses and all essential workers. We all appreciate how much they are doing to take care of us each day. By wearing a mask, we are doing our part to take care of them in return.
Here’s an excerpt from Patch:
The Mask Up Cherokee campaign is also providing free masks for citizens who want them. Starting Monday, face masks can be picked up from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Marshal's Office substation at the Cherokee County Administration building, 1130 Bluffs Parkway in Canton, and at both of the Cherokee County Tax Commissioner office locations at 2780 Marietta Highway in Canton and 155 Towne Lake Parkway in Woodstock.
